Nice to meet you — I'm Moshe Nahmani (Moshiko), 49, married with three kids, living in Modi'in.

For me, painting isn't just a means of emotional expression — it's a deep philosophical and visual inquiry into form, light, and presence. My work centers on classical, figurative painting drawn from Renaissance and Baroque technique, with careful attention to canvas selection, pigment quality, and building each painting up in layers the way the old masters did — monochrome underpainting and precise volume-building, imprimatura included.

Where Investigation, Anatomy, and Canvas Meet

Alongside my deep love for canvas and oil paint, my professional life runs on a few other tracks — ones that feed into each other and bring something distinct to my art:

• Investigation and close observation: As a private investigator, I trained myself to see what a casual eye misses — to catch the faintest movement and observe reality without filters. That precision carries straight through into the painting itself.
• Deep anatomical understanding: As a certified massage therapist working in bodywork and anatomy, my connection to the human body goes beyond theory or structure. Understanding muscle, tendon, skin, and movement lets me bring real life to figures and portraits — giving them volume, credibility, and spirit.

The connection between therapy, investigation, and art creates a visual language of its own — one of precision, depth, and respect for the classical painting tradition.
